This Encoder is a key component of the Telescope Drive Master, which drastically reduces drive errors to put 1 arc-second tracking ability within your reach without asking you to give up your existing mount. For those who have a TDM (which includes an encoder and controller), this separate encoder could allow you to keep a second photographical setup at the ready so that all you have to do is connect it with your existing controller and start imaging.
